It started with an idea on the other side of the world born from venturing into what Mark Twain referred to as “the territory”.

A decade ago we started climbing into a van then stepping onto a bus, and boarding international flights. Our travels took us around the world together a couple times over and each time we went around the experience of coffee culture became a constant for us. What started out as a simple search for a good cup of coffee turned into a ritual. It was more than a cup of coffee it was and is the culture of each community, the conversations had over a cup and of course, the caffeine. Spending years as caffeine freak enthusiasts, we had a mutual goal. To bring the aspects we appreciated most of specialty coffee culture from our travels around the world back home. To plant our roots and grow with our Southern California community.

Like many great roasters, we started in the garage. Countless batches were roasted, tasted, and roasted again. Hundreds of shots were pulled, gallons of coffee brewed. As our craft shaped, so did our ideals. It was simply not enough to just turn beans brown, we needed to be meticulous. We needed to know about the farms we support, the beans we roast, and the coffee we serve.

A successful business is more than serving a great product, more than having a cool aesthetic. To us, it takes exceptional service to our customers and clients, proper and continued training, a smooth operation (as smooth as we can be). Our coffee offerings are all specialty grade, we pride ourselves on consistently going above Fair Trade prices to ensure the farms and the farmers we work with are getting the financial stability they deserve. We believe in complete transparency, traceability and environmental preservation. It's a relationship from seed to cup. More than anything, our customers (you reading this) are considered to be our friends and family. So, you can count on us day or night.
